"We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing!"
--- George Bernard Shaw
In 2006 we were graced by a visit from Cole Kugel, who at age 104 was listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as the oldest living pilot in the world.
(Many more details on the web.)
We are sorry to report that Mr. Kugel passed away June 11, 2007 at the age of 105. A true gentleman, who we will miss.
Getting ready to work on adding a part.
Adding rivets to platenuts used to attach the instrument panel.
Mr. Kugel autographing his picture that appeared in the newspaper.
Note the vertical fin
used as a "writing surface."
A high point for all three of us.
Special thanks to Martha Inger who brought Cole for the visit.
