Celebratory Breakfast at the Barnstormer

we had always dreamed about the day that we'd be able to take a celebratory flight up to the Barnstormer restaurant up in Greeley, CO. How great is life when you get to eat a killer breakfast while looking out at your 8.5 year accomplishment just on the other side of the window?

It's a beautiful day in November in Colorado and definitely a great occasion for a flight up to Greeley, CO.

Two very happy pilots celebrate.

Now THIS is pilot fuel!
And for the record, food like this DOES taste better when you fly to it.

Rege is at the helm on the return.

Our pal, Garmin, kindly assists.

It is now back to Boulder.

First, a quick pass by the Flatirons and NCAR.

A day to remember, for sure!

By the way, the white board shows that on the previous day (11-26-10) our plane had exactly 39.71 test hours on it. To be legal for both of us to fly, Connie taxied around the hangers about five times until the hobbs rolled over to 40.00 - to our knowledge, there are no better right-turn taxiing Vans pilots in the Boulder area.
