The main gear is really a straightforward assembly job.

The inside of the tires and outside of the tubes were dusted with baby powder to ease friction when fitting. Common sense and a little care avoided tube pinches.
Cleveland brakes added to the main gear supporting bracket.
The tire was mounted on the rim, the bearings were packed, and the assembly put onto the axle.
